This TUESDAY – 6:30 at WUMC! Cast Iron Chef and please bring your Exercise sheets!!

Hello Webelos! Tuesday night we are serving up some Cast Iron Chef creations!!! 1. Please bring your exercise sheets for our Fitness Achievement. 2. We will be learning how to do campfire cooking with cast iron/ dutch ovens.  The Den had a hard time selecting cobbler flavors so we will be dividing up into “cooking teams” to select and build two cobblers and learn how to use coals (already hot) to cook our cobblers to perfection. While our delicious cobblers bake, we'll learn to use coal chimneys to get perfect coals for dutch ovens, box oven baking, and foil meal packs. *** NEEDED – 1 or 2 seasoned mid-size or small dutch ovens, with lids & lid hooks if possible *** I will have several…

Our turn to do Prestige Flags and Family Camp signup closes Monday Nov. 8th – Camp is this coming weekend!!

Hey Webelo Families!! Where has the daylight gone – welcome to standard time!!   Hope you are all resting up for our “Fall Back” Monday!  FLAGS should be going out now on your family routes – Mr. Sivula has been in contact with those who had route revisions. Den 4 WEBELOS are responsible for the 30 Prestige Flags – Mr. Tracy Delk will have our 30 flags at Prestige at 4:30 and start locating the flag tubes ahead of time. As the Scouts arrive, we will put up the flags, then have a “flashlight pow wow” afterwards for those going to family camp this weekend.   Next week November 15 – back to our normal Tuesday nights!!  We will be working on our “Cast Iron…

Hi Webelos families! Quick reminder – Pack Meeting tonight – 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary.  Try to sit close together, we have to get out to do a skit – I will have a Halloween skit ready to go for the team so get there early if you can.  The weather moved the Bear Carnival in to Pike & Connor Hall – Voting will be taking place in some areas, so be prepared.  The weather did cancel the TJC activity I had to be at, Yay! We will be getting our Webelos Colors as planned.  Our skit is a takeoff of the “scariest person on earth”  – The announcer Scout tells the audience that we have spared NO expense this Halloween season to bring to…

Happy Friday Scout Families! BIG THANKS to Kacie Czapla & Eric Sivula for handling our last round of Webelos fitness tests.  As soon as you track 3 weeks' worth of exercises (out of 4 – you can do all 4 weeks if you wish!) We are meeting tonight as usual, 6:30 pm, back room of WUMC.  We will be on our 2nd round of Exercise Fitness Testing – bring a towel to protect your scout from the grass if they are allergic – Push ups and Sit ups are in their future!!!   We will be working on FLAG TRIVIA AND FACTS tonight as well – and planning our “menu” for our Cast Iron Chef Cooking requirement. *** Several of you said you are familiar with “dutch oven” cooking- if you have some recipes, cook books, etc.  and can bring them, let me know!!
