The boys need to start these this week and either bring them to the meeting on Monday the 19th or take pictures and bring those. Below is a link to the directions which can also be found in the Wolf book. https://drive.google.com/file/d/10eWQxY0Gii8OrULCtNVVKCyZIEuhgKS1/view?usp=sharing

Webelos Hike

Parents and Scouts, just a reminder about our hiking requirement this Saturday March 3rd at 7:30 am. I need all scouts who have not completed the required “Webelos Walkabout” to show up at Tyler State Park on the north side of the lake near the boat ramp and amphitheater. Please have the boys who have not made their first aide kits do so as soon as possible. Second, I need the boys and parents to read in their scout book “A Scouts Responsibility To The Outdoor code” and “Leave No Trace Principles” pages 19 through 21. We will be covering this before we go on the hike. For our meeting on Monday March 5th, have the boys bring 5 different rock and a magnifying glass…

Photos

Here is a Google folder for you all to share any photos from this year. We will need lots of photos for our Blue and Gold banquet. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1oP87aAtYtlB04FLoiSdTkcVn-hp9ZHwm

Pack Meeting – Flag Ceremony

Webelos parents, Den5 has been tasked with the flag ceremony for the pack meeting on Monday February 26th. I would like as many volunteers as we can get. If your son has not participated in a flag ceremony, skit, parade or campfire event now is the time for them show their scout spirit. Please have participating boys show up at 6:10 for practice before the main event. Thanks for all that you do, Den5 leader Bob Prince

Earth Rocks

Congratulations to all the Webelos who participated in the Pinewood Derby. We had thirteen cars race and they looked great. This Monday, February 19th we are going to have a guest speaker Mr. Bailey talk about geology and our Earth Rocks elective. To prepare the boys for this elective please have them look over the Earth Rocks section in their Webelos handbook. See everyone tomorrow. Den5 leader, Bob Prince
