We will meet on Saturday morning at the corner of Glenwood and Front St. from 7:30-8am. SCOUTS NEED TO BE THERE NO LATER THAN 8AM! Attached is a map showing road closures and parking locations. Carnival Games Meeting

Hello Bear Families! Would you guys like some time to work together with you partners to put your carnival game together? How about next Tuesday at 6:30? We’ve decided to make our next meeting a casual meeting where you can get with your partners to build your games! The Bear Carnival will happen after our first Pack meeting on MONDAY, October 30th in Friendship Hall. Thanks!! Lacey

Meeting tonight

Hello Bear Families! Our meeting tonight is at 6:30 in Conner Hall at the Church. For the bear carnival- each family will need to pair with another family to come up with a carnival game. After you find your partner family, you’ll have time tonight to talk about the game you want to create. We will also start working on the Bear Claws! We have a special guest, Austin Russel Knife Enthusiast, who will teach the kids about knife safety, knife sharpening and the different kinds of knives. We will break the group into two large groups so we’ll have plenty of time for both activities. Thanks and I’ll see you all tonight! Lacey

Den Meeting tonight!

Hello Arrow families – hope you are enjoying the fall break! Tonight we will begin learning about PATROL LEADERSHIP – the way Scouting enables young leaders by allowing them to take the lead within groups of Scouts known as Patrols. Your Scout will surprise you with what they can do on their own – just like this summer at Webelos camp, when every single scout who attended was able to get themselves dressed in full Class A uniform for flag service each morning (even though some can’t get this all together for Pack Meetings at home, LOL.)  We received several compliments on how our Arrows/Webelos were self-sufficient – they are growing up! I know, it seems like just yesterday that they were Tigers or Wolves…

Lions meeting today 10/16

Today Lions will be meeting in Pike Hall at 6:30. This is the larger room on the side of the church that is normally occupied by our Tigers. We will be starting our King of the Jungle Adventure – our Lions will learn what it means to be a good citizen, to be a leader, and will learn about and participate in a flag ceremony. We will finish the Animal Kingdom adventure next week with an emergency preparedness game and a special guest! For those just starting with us, we will review the Cub Scout sign, motto, and salute. You will need to complete a family service project with your scout – this can be something as simple as helping a neighbor rake leaves, picking…

10/16 Meetings & Rose Parade Info

Meeting information for the week of 10/16: If you have not yet turned in your health forms or YPT please do so ASAP! ROSE PARADE INFORMATION This Saturday the 21st is the 2023 Tyler Rose Festival Parade! This year we will be joining other Packs and Troops to represent the East Texas Area Council and all that scouting does for our youth. Our participation in the parade demonstrates our community involvement, and the kids always have a blast, getting to see all the faces in the crowd cheering for them, plus getting to be on TV and in the newspaper – we have even had our Scouts picture in The New York Times! We would love to have as many scouts as possible participate in this…

No Meeting Tonight!

Good morning Tigers!   Just a reminder, we will not be meeting tonight.  Look for a pack update shortly containing Rose Parade information for those of you that will be attending.  I will not be in attendance, but we will have some other dens and leaders that will be there.  I hope you all have a great week and we will see you next week!  As a reminder, we have Jackson Parson’s down to provide the snacks for the meeting.  Please let me know if you have any questions!

Meeting tonight outside at the Pavilion

Hello Bear Families! We are meeting tonight at the pavilion (where we planted our herbs). There is a church budget meeting in Conner Hall tonight- so I thought we’d let them have the room 😉 . We are going to finish up Fur, Feathers and Ferns tonight with a plant study and a little homework… Homework to work on later this week: Tell your parents or an adult one animal that has become extinct in the last 100 years and one animal that is currently endangered. Explain what caused their declines. We are also going to start on Grin and Bear it. It’s an elective about learning to include others in games and be helpful. We will finish the meeting by pairing new scouts with…

Flag Volunteer Position Signups

Hi everyone, Now that we are all getting settled into a new scouting year, let’s talk about flags! Flags play a vital role in Pack 359 and fund the majority of all the things we get to do! Your help is essential to our pack running smoothly and we are asking that everyone pick at least one position (you of course can pick more than one). Below you will find a link to sign up for a flag job and all descriptions of positions!! Don’t worry, if we all pitch in this will barely seem like a job! Flag delivery- You will need a vehicle that can carry flags!! Deliver and place flags on designated route. Flag Pickup-You will need a vehicle that can carry flags!! Pick…
