Howdy Bears, We will be meeting tomorrow and doing our Protect Yourself requirement. Parents, if you want to view the material ahead of time, you can find it here. Bears are going on a one mile hike this Sunday at 2 pm at Camp Ford (6500 HWY 271 Tyler, TX). We will not have a meeting Monday night. Make sure your scout brings all six essentials including a snack and water! Details will go out later about how to make up this event if you can’t be there! Hope to see you all!
Have a Beary Merry Christmas! On Wednesday, December 21st at 5:30 PM we will have our Bear Christmas party at Ms. Somer’s house (1421 Jeff Davis Dr, Tyler, 75703). Please bring a wrapped, gender neutral gift valued at $15 or less and outdoor/scout themed. We will be doing a white elephant exchange, cookie decorating, games, and lots more! Tonight we started our Paws for Action requirement. To complete this requirement we have some homework for you to help your scout with: Make a list of emergency numbers and discuss with your family where the list should be kept. Show your family that you know how to call for help in an emergency. Talk with your family about people who could help you if a parent is not available. With your family, develop a plan to follow in case of an emergency, and practice the plan at least three times. Your family can determine the emergency, or you can develop several plans.
