Last Call for Family Camp

Good Evening Pack! Fall Family Camp registration closes tonight at midnight! We are returning to Camp Pirtle this weekend. Please register your family at https://etacpack359.org/familycamp. If you’re on the fence, please come! The kids have so much fun playing with each other outside, AND two meals are already cooked for you- so you only have to worry about Saturday lunch and Sunday breakfast. On Saturday, after breakfast, a group of Scout families will visit the Henderson Syrup Festival – which I’ve heard is very fun (and free). Several families will also stay at camp to relax, fish, or hike. You’re welcome to do either one, but please confirm any den-level activities with your Den Leaders. Meetings this week and Family Camp!

Hey Pack! All of our Dens are meeting this week during their regular meeting day. Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Webelos – Monday (Tonight) Bears, AOL’s – Tuesday (Tomorrow) Family Camp is this weekend!! We are returning to Camp Pirtle this weekend. Our Pack will be provide Breakfast Saturday morning and Dinner Saturday night. Please sign up to ensure we have enough food. Flags Go out tomorrow 11/4

Good evening, Pack! Tomorrow flags go out for Veterans Day! We have had a great response to signups for delivery, but we still have 5 routes that need to be covered.   The routes will be listed below and if possible please use the Sign Up Genius link below so we can keep track and make sure no route is missed.   Flags will start to be staged at 7am so anyone available to help move 300 flags inside the church to outside please come help.  Hopefully with enough help flags will be ready by 8am.  Any questions please reach out to Derrick at 903-570-6183. VETERANS DAY FLAG DELIVERY!!!!!

Good afternoon, Pack!!! This Saturday, November 4th we will be putting flags out for Veterans Day!!   We currently have 25 available routes and need all the help we can get. Pack Meeting and Bear Carnival Tonight!

Good Afternoon, Pack! Tonight is our first Pack Meeting of the year! We will meet in the sanctuary and begin at 6:30 PM. Wear Class A uniforms, but no hats (we are in the sanctuary). When you enter the sanctuary, please look for your Den’s seating section. Tiger and Lion families will need to sit with the den. For our new scouts receiving their Bobcat Rank, tonight will be very special for you and your families. We have over 30 scouts receiving Bobcats (WOW!!). When the Pack Meeting concludes, our Bear Den will be hosting a Carnival for all scouts to enjoy. See you all tonight!!

Fall Family Camp Registration is LIVE

Fall Family Camp registration is now LIVE! Family Camp will be at Pirtle Scout Reservation, November 10th through the 12th. The cost is $20 per family. Register HERE: Family Camp – Cub Scout Pack 359 (etacpack359.org)   Family camp is a wonderful way to relax and get to know other families in the Pack. Most Dens will have an activity or two planned, but there will also be family time so that you may go on your own adventure. As this is a Pack-organized campout, it will be for two nights. Families can come Friday night or Saturday morning to set up camp, and we will have activities for the rest of the day. Even if your schedule does not allow camping, feel free to…

Flag Build/ Repair Day

Good evening! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Just wanted to let everyone know that we will be having a flag repair/ build day this Saturday October 28th. If you are available and willing to help, we would love to have you. We will meet at the church at 8:30 am Saturday morning.  Also, anyone that has signed up to help for Flag Retirement we will have a couple bags of flags that can be prepared that day as well.

Rose Parade TOMORROW!!!

The Tyler Rose Festival Parade is TOMORROW!!! We would love to see as many scouts there as possible to represent our Pack, Troop, and Council. We will meet on Saturday morning at the corner of Glenwood and Front St. from 7:30-8am. SCOUTS NEED TO BE THERE NO LATER THAN 8AM! Attached is a map showing road closures and parking locations. Please arrive as early as possible and plan accordingly. Scouts MUST be checked in by a parent/guardian with Nicole Whittaker or one of our registered Leaders. All Scouts need to be in their Class A uniform – button down shirt, neckerchief, slide, belt, closed toe shoes and pants (blue, khaki, jeans, or green for tan shirts – no rips or holes!). Meeting information for the week of 10/16: If you have not yet turned in your health forms or YPT please do so ASAP! ROSE PARADE INFORMATION This Saturday the 21st is the 2023 Tyler Rose Festival Parade! This year we will be joining other Packs and Troops to represent the East Texas Area Council and all that scouting does for our youth. Our participation in the parade demonstrates our community involvement, and the kids always have a blast, getting to see all the faces in the crowd cheering for them, plus getting to be on TV and in the newspaper – we have even had our Scouts picture in The New York Times! We would love to have as many scouts as possible participate in this…
