Cub Scout Events Coming Up_10/2

HELLLOOOOOO Scouting Families! A few events you will want to be aware of and get signed up for as soon as possible… Mom and Me (or dad and me or grandparent and me, etc) is October 22nd-23rd at Camp Pirtle. This event is a favorite of scouts all over the area. It’s a whole Saturday of pack filled scouting fun hosted by the East Texas Area Council so there will be scouts from all over our area. There will be canoes, a rock climbing wall, BB guns, archery and so much more! You can camp overnight or just go out for the day. Scouting Update 9/13

Howdy Scouting Families!   I have a couple things to communicate this evening. First, Flags need to be picked up between Thursday and Sunday before 1pm and returned to the church. Next don’t forget about the Ice Cream Social, Thursday at 6:30pm at the Whitehouse Park. Please have scouts wear their uniforms. Parent Registration is Monday night at the church, 6:30pm. This is for all scouts not just the new ones. And last but not least…Den Meetings start up again September 26th!!

Cub Scout Update 8/26

Reminder that flags need to be put out for September 11th. Flags need to go out this weekend. The flags will be out for pick-up at the church this evening after 4pm thru Saturday until 4pm for your routes. If you have any questions or issues notify your den leader who will contact the flag coordinator. Also, I had to make the difficult decision to cancel tomorrows “Back to School” event. Rain and scattered thunderstorms have been showing between 0 and 50% for Saturday. In the spirit of full transparency if I waited until Saturday to cancel the inflatable the Pack would have still had to pay the delivery fee and then the inflatable company would keep our deposit and give us a credit with…

Cub Scout Update_8/21

Reminder that flags need to be put out for September 11th. Flags need to go out between August 26th and August 28th. The flags will be out for Pickup Friday evening and Saturday to grab flags for your routes. We will also be having our WELCOME BACK TO SCOUTS event Saturday afternoon at the church from 11am – 2pm. We plan to have a water slide at the church for the scouts to play on. This is a great event to invite a friend that is interested in becoming a Cub Scout too! The goal would be to go get your flag routes done Saturday morning and then come back to the church and let the scouts play for awhile. If it is raining on…

July 10th Committee Meeting – new location / Flag pickup reminder

Parents,   The Committee meeting on July 10th at 2pm has been relocated to my house. If you plan to attend, please email the pack email at etacpack359@gmail.com for the address and more details. This meeting is to plan the calendar year for our Pack and is welcome to all parents who would like to get more involved. Coming to Committee meetings is a great way to have your voice heard in regard to Pack operations, events, etc., and we can always use the extra help!   Also, a reminder that flags need to be picked up this weekend. Flag Pickup & Committee Meeting This Week

Happy 4th of July Weekend Cub Scout Pack! Reminder that flags need to be picked up next weekend between Friday and Sunday (July 8-10). If you used ground stakes you will need a 5/8 wrench to pull them out of the ground. You can collect your flags, ground spikes and signs and rest them against the side of the church by the storage room. If you have questions reach out to your den leader. Committee Meeting is Sunday, July 10th at 2pm at the Bockovers house for any parents wishing to join the committee or just be more involved in the pack. This committee meeting will focus on planning the event calendar for the upcoming scouting year.   Cody

Ft. Worth Zoo OverNighter 6/26

Hello Scouting Families, We will be finalizing our registration list for the July overnighter to the Ft. Worth Zoo in the next week. We only have 10 open spots so if you have not registered yet make sure to do so this week. The Ft. Worth Zoo is AWESOME and they run a great overnight program. This event is July 23rd and 24th. You will arrive at the Zoo the evening of July 23rd spend the night and have all day on July 24th to explore the Zoo.    

Bike Rodeo Saturday

Get your bikes ready for this Saturday’s Bike Rodeo!! It will be at Green Acres Parking Garage. Park in the worship center parking lot on Dulse St and walk up the parking lot to parking garage area. Rodeo is from 8am-12pm. We have fun ready to be delivered while the kids practice their bicycle skills. If you would like to help Volunteer. Please call/ text me at (903) 539-1763.   Cody
