11/5/2022 Flags Going Out for Veterans Day

Happy November Scouts and Scout Families!!   This is the weekend flags go out for Veterans Day. Flags will be available for pickup starting around 9 AM Saturday Morning. If you have never participated in flag services, this weekend is a great time to start.  Flags and flagpoles need to inspected, marked for our Pack and repaired or replaced if necessary.  There is plenty of work to go around, so all available families are asked to participate. Several routes near Lake Tyler still need to be covered, please contact Eric Sivula at 903-539-1278 if your family is available to help deliver flags.

Mom & Me ***UPDATE***

Happy Friday Scout Families!  A quick update for Mom & Me: We will be at campsite 4. If you get there early, please set up close to the tree lines so there is plenty of space for latecomers to set up in the middle. *** ONE LAST REMINDER TO BRING HEALTH FORMS A & B FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS (if you have not already turned them in) AND A COPY OF YOUR YPT (YPT can be shown on your phone). *** Some experienced families who have been to Camp Pirtle before will be going out tonight. Mom & Me Details

Mom & Me is this Saturday. We are still waiting on a few details, but here is a camping checklist so you can start packing! There is a link below for a map of Camp Pirtle (Map of GWP). I recommend you print a copy and bring it with you. The camp is much larger than it looks. If you have not already turned in Health Forms A & B for all participants and YPT for all adults, you must bring these with you to camp! Please turn them in to Somer Bockover. Complete YPT as soon as possible. Once completed it takes up to a day for the certificate to become available online, and cell service is not great. Check-in is Saturday morning from…

Troup Parade Tomorrow!!! (10/8)

Hey Scout families! Just a reminder that Troup’s Sesquicentennial Parade is tomorrow morning! Scouts need to be in their Class A uniform – for new scouts, this includes the blue (or tan for Webelos/Arrows) button down shirt, neckerchief, slide, and belt. We do not require official BSA pants or shorts. Any nice pants or shorts with belt loops is fine (jeans, tan, blue, black, or green are what our scouts usually wear – please no holes or rips). For our Lions, the uniform is the BSA Lion t-shirt. Hats are optional, and scouts can wear the Pack 359 hat if they have one. The Scout store is open today until 5:00 PM if you still need a uniform! (Ask Suzanne at the store for assistance if…

Reminder 10/5

Howdy Scouts!   There have been some questions about the Mom and Me campout (October 22nd-23rd at Camp Pirtle) that I wanted to clear up. This event is a district cub scout event that cost $40 per person, however, our pack is able to cover a portion of the cost thanks to our flag subscription fundraiser. So if you want to attend the Mom and Me campout you will only have to pay $25 per person and will need to sign up on our pack website. I have added the link here.  https://etacpack359.org/momandme/   The deadline to register is October 14th. If you have questions you can ask your den leader or email the pack email address. Also, the registration for Parents Night Out was extended…
