Cub Scout Events Coming Up_10/2

HELLLOOOOOO Scouting Families!

A few events you will want to be aware of and get signed up for as soon as possible…

Mom and Me (or dad and me or grandparent and me, etc) is October 22nd-23rd at Camp Pirtle. This event is a favorite of scouts all over the area. It's a whole Saturday of pack filled scouting fun hosted by the East Texas Area Council so there will be scouts from all over our area. There will be canoes, a rock climbing wall, BB guns, archery and so much more! You can camp overnight or just go out for the day. There are more details on the pack website under the MOM AND ME tab at the top of the page. This event cost $25 per person and you will want to sign up up on the pack website soon so we can save your spot.

Parents Night Out will be October 7th 6:30pm – 8:00pm. This is a fundraiser hosted by Inspire Youth Sports (1505 E Grande Blvd), they will watch your kiddos while you enjoy some time to yourself. The kids will get to play in their amazing facility and then donate the money back to Pack 359. This opportunity is not only open to the cub scouts but anyone with kids. So you can talk your non scouting friends into dropping their kids off and you and them can hang out kid free for awhile. You have to register for this by Wednesday, so shout it from the roof tops now. There is a flyer on the pack FB page you can share on your FB. Register online at

Troup Parade is next Saturday, October 8th. All scouts are welcome to ride in the parade, smile and wave. If you would like to participate you will need to meet the rest of the pack at the Troup ISD Admin. building at 9am. Scouts need to be in Class A shirt.

If you need to order a TSHIRT, then tomorrow night make sure you tell me because once the order is placed we will not be placing another order for quite some time.

Many families have not turned in their health forms so this is a reminder to turn them in to me tomorrow night.

Side Note: If you needed patches sewn onto your uniform for FREE then you will need to bring your shirt and patches to tomorrows Den Meeting.

Yours in Scouting,

Cody Baker
