Mom & Me is this Saturday. We are still waiting on a few details, but here is a camping checklist so you can start packing!
There is a link below for a map of Camp Pirtle (Map of GWP). I recommend you print a copy and bring it with you. The camp is much larger than it looks.
If you have not already turned in Health Forms A & B for all participants and YPT for all adults, you must bring these with you to camp! Please turn them in to Somer Bockover. Complete YPT as soon as possible. Once completed it takes up to a day for the certificate to become available online, and cell service is not great.
Check-in is Saturday morning from 8:00 to 9:00 AM. I recommend getting there as close to 8:00 as possible so you have plenty of time to get to your site and set up prior to the start of activities!
Address to Camp Pirtle:
Co Rd 1241, Gary City, TX 75643
A few things to remember – meals are provided, so no need to bring camp stoves unless you want to bring something for coffee in the morning. Panola County is under a burn ban, so no campfires or charcoal will be allowed – containerized fuel only.
There is no driving to the sites, so you must carry all your gear from the parking lot. It is recommended you bring a wagon if you have one to transport your gear to and from the campsite.
