Dear Scouting Families, In keeping with our Pack’s and WISD practices to respond to COVID-19, we are notifying all scout families that a parent recently received a positive test for COVID-19. This parent was present at the den meetings on Monday, September 21, 2020. To remain in compliance with HIPPA we will not be divulging any further information regarding the person in order to protect his/her privacy. The person did in fact wear a mask the entire meeting, limiting exposure to individuals, however, out of an abundance of caution we are notifying the dens affected and cancelling all den meetings on Monday, September 28th. Monday, September 14th, we will be meeting at 6:30 at the church. We will be in Pike Hall! Please let me know if you can’t make it! If possible please bring markers or crayons for your child to use for designing our Cub Scout shirt! With Covid 19 things will be a bit different this year (such as not sharing materials), but we want to make it an awesome year and experience for everyone! Lions will be meeting tomorrow and working on an elective! If you have not done so already I need everyone to complete the Protect Yourself requirement with your scout. You can use this video https://www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/preview-adventures/protect-yourself-rules/ or there is a pamphlet! I suggest you view the video first and use your own judgement as to what you think your child needs to know about! We need to have this completed by the March Pack Meeting so that all have reached their Lion rank. This Saturday we will be having our 1st hike! We will meet at 2:00 at UT Tyler by the tennis courts. Be sure and bring a bag for your kiddo with the 6 essentials we discussed in last Monday night’s meeting. Be sure and have a whistle so we can practice SAW! 6 essentials: water bottle, trail food, sun/weather protection, first aid kit, flashlight, and whistle! thank you for all you do! Tomorrow’s pack meeting will start at 6:00. Lion shirt but NO hats! Please make sure you attend! After the meeting we will move across the street to the Jr High parking lot for our community helper portion of the pack meeting.
