Troup Christmas Parade info

Hey Scout families,

 

We are still looking for an inverter generator to borrow for the Troup Christmas parade tomorrow to power our lights and inflatables on the trailer. Please call or text Nicole at 210-865-2712 if you have one we can use.

 

PARADE INFO:

 

The Troup Christmas parade is TOMORROW, Thursday, Dec. 7th at 6:00pm. We would love to see as many scouts as possible come out to help our friends and neighbors in Troup ring in the Holiday season! Our trailer will be in line by 5pm. We are asking all Scouts to meet us at the parking lot across from Troup Elementary School, at the corner of Bryant and North Carolina St. no later than 5:30. If you are coming from Whitehouse, 110 (Duval St.) will be open until just before 6. Take 110 all the way to 135 (N. Ponsard St.), take a left onto 135, then turn left onto E. Bryant St.

 

You may park along any of the side streets so long as you do not block a driveway. The parade will start at the intersection of Bryant and North Carolina, continue down to Duval, turn right onto Duval (110) and end at N. Front St. The Scouts will then proceed along N Front St to Bryant, and back to the intersection of Bryant and North Carolina where you will meet them to pick up. It is recommended you watch the parade on North Carolina St. close to the beginning so you can easily pick up your scout when they are finished. Scouts MUST be signed in and signed out, they will not be allowed to leave without a parent/guardian present. Please be ready to pick up your Scout as soon as they are finished in the parade.

 

Scouts should wear their Class A uniform and may wear a Santa hat or other Christmas attire. Any parent riding/walking should wear a Pack t-shirt if they have one. It will be a bit chilly, so dress for the weather! Scouts may want an undershirt or a light jacket.

 

As with the Whitehouse parade, we are not allowed to throw candy from the float, however we can hand out candy to the crowd.
