Rose parade info!
2022 Rose Festival Parade Information!!!
Happy Friday!
Important Rose Parade Information
Scouts (and walking parents) need to meet at the corner of Glenwood and Front Street at 7:30. We will meet on the South East (Bottom Right) of the intersection across from the UT Health EMS Services building. The best way to drop off is from the South (Green Arrows on the map). Everything else will be blocked off. It is normal to park somewhere else and walk to the meeting location.
Check-in – PLEASE check in your scouts with one of our leaders. We will have a sign-in and sign-out sheet to ensure all scouts are accounted for. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR SCOUT TO WALK TO THE MEETING LOCATION UNACCOMPANIED.
Parents – Lion and Tiger Parents are REQUIRED to walk with their scouts. Mr. Bockover will pull a trailer for the cubs to sit on. Parents may ride as well pending space. All other Parents are encouraged to walk with your scouts 🙂
Dress – Scouts should be in as much “Class A” Uniform regalia as they own. Blue Shirt, Hat, Neckerchief, Slide, etc. Parents should wear their Tan Uniform or a Pack T-Shirt. If you have neither, that's okay! Just wear a navy blue shirt if you have one. After all, the Cub Scout Motto is Do Your Best!
Weather – When we arrive, the temperature will be around 68 with no wind chill, and close to 80 by the time we finish. It'll be partly cloudy with no rain in the forecast – perfect parade weather!
Parade Route – See the Map attached. The Parade will start (we are FIRST) at 9:00 AM. We expect to be finished within 30-45 minutes. The route will begin where we meet, travel west (left) down Front Street, through the Fair Grounds, and will end at Rose Stadium. We will enter the stadium from the Visitors' side (North Side), walk around the Track, and end past the Home entrance (South Side).
Pick-Up – Families need to pick up scouts PROMPTLY after we exit the stadium. Please do NOT wait until the parade is over to pick up your scouts. YOU MUST SIGN OUT YOUR SCOUT!
