Rose Parade information and Meeting info for next week! Today is the LAST DAY to sign up on our website for Mom and Me!!!

Hello Webelos Scouts!

TODAY is the LAST DAY to sign up on our website for Mom and Me!!!  (There is a Mom & Me link at the top)

Be working on your exercises and recording your progress – We will meet Monday – 6:30 WUMC – we will complete our testing sheets and you'll have another week or two to continue your work at home.

2022 Rose Festival Parade Information!!!

Scouts (and walking parents) need to meet at the corner of Glenwood and Front Street starting at 7:30 am. We will meet on the South- East (Bottom Right) of the intersection across from the UT Health EMS Services building. The best way to drop off is from the South (Green Arrows on the map). Everything else will be blocked off. It is normal to park somewhere else and walk to the meeting location.  The reason for the early drop off time is that you sometimes can drive up to drop off your scout EARLY but shortly after 8am all the roads will start being blocked off so you'll have to walk.  REMEMBER your scouts have to be picked up outside of Rose Stadium and we'll be the first ones done.  Parents often pick up their scout and then walk out to enjoy the rest of the parade.   ** Scouts in uniform will be selected to carry the banner and flags**

Check-in – PLEASE check in your scouts with one of our leaders. We will have a sign-in and sign-out sheet to ensure all scouts are accounted for. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR SCOUT TO WALK TO THE MEETING LOCATION UNACCOMPANIED.

Please TEXT 903-574-3787 if your scout will be in the parade and if a parent plans to walk with the scout group!!!

Dress – Scouts should be in as much “Class A” Uniform regalia as they own. Blue Shirt, Hat, Neckerchief, Slide, etc. Parents should wear their Tan Uniform or a Pack T-Shirt. If you have neither, that's okay! Just wear a navy-blue shirt if you have one. After all, the Cub Scout Motto is Do Your Best!

Weather – When we arrive, the temperature will be around 68 with no wind chill, and close to 80 by the time we finish. It'll be partly cloudy with no rain in the forecast – perfect parade weather! Try to put layers UNDER the scout uniform instead of a jacket that covers it up.

Parade Route – See the Map attached. The Parade will start (we LEAD THE PARADE) at 9:00 AM. We expect to be finished within 30-45 minutes. The route will begin where we meet, travel west (left) down Front Street, through the Fair Grounds, and will end at Rose Stadium. We will enter the stadium from the Visitors' side (North Side), walk around the Track, and end past the Home entrance (South Side).

Pick-Up – Families need to pick up scouts PROMPTLY after we exit the stadium. Please do NOT wait until the parade is over to pick up your scouts. Pick them up then walk back out to enjoy the rest of the parade! YOU MUST SIGN OUT YOUR SCOUT!
