Tuesday 12/13 – Caroling & “Thank you for your Service” holiday gift for our Whitehouse Police and Firemen
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
It's a Den 4 tradition to pack a “Merry Christmas” basket for our police and fire first responders, so much so that an officer at the Whitehouse parade asked if the Scouts were going to be “dropping by” this holiday season! And a BIG thank you to our wonderful Den 4 parents who support our Scouts in their service!!
THIS TUESDAY – December 13 – We will meet at the church at 7pm to pack baskets with treats, and then drive to the fire & police stations for delivery. Scouts should wear their scout T-shirts, Uniforms, and of course Santa Hats!! Parents and siblings are welcome.
What types of treats? Homemade treats are once again welcomed by our first responders!!!! They also appreciate beef sticks, beef jerky, nuts, power bars, trail mix, and things they can grab as they run out the door. Chips, cookies, chapstick, gum – we've never had trouble filling our baskets. I will have some cards to sign and if your scout wants to sent a note to put into the baskets, that is great as well.
I will have activity pins for those who missed the Pack Meeting, plus handouts for activities the Scouts can take care of over the Winter Break, and once we deliver the baskets we are done for the evening and for this YEAR except for the Prestige caroling – info on that below!!
Christmas Caroling at Prestige Estates:
As a thank you for supporting our Pack with their 30 flag subscriptions, Pack 359 will be caroling at Prestige Estates from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm on Saturday, December 17th. We will also deliver handmade Christmas cards to the residents. Some of you have made cards in den meetings. If you plan to attend please bring a card or two with you. Once again, wear your Class A along with Santa hats or other Christmas accessories.
