Pinewood Derby Build Day, Saturday, 01/12/2018

Howdy, Pack 359 Family!!! Tomorrow, starting at 9AM, is Pinewood Derby Build Day!  Location is the fellowship hall of the church. This is a great opportunity for you to get a head start on building the BEST derby car! Couple of things regarding tomorrow: 1.  You can pick up your car tomorrow (if you haven't done so already).  The pack covers the cost of one car per Scout.  Additional cars for family members, OPEN races, etc are available for $4 per car. 2.  Please bring a plastic ZipLoc Baggie (with your name on it) to hold all your car parts! 3.  Please bring some money.  The AOL Den will be selling breakfast items to help offset the cost of their Crossover Ceremony in March.  Don't…

Troop 359 campout this weekend.

AOL parents, Rick Green from Troop 359 needs a head count for the campout this weekend a Sparksman Campsite here in Tyler. If you have a chance to attend a troop level campout or activity I would recommend you do so as soon as possible. These activities are needed for requirement #4 in the Scouting Adventure pin. Also, Troop 356 from Lanes Chapel is having a campout for AOL scouts January 18th -20th at Purtis Creek State Park to go hiking and Geo caching. Nathan and myself will be attending this one. Pinewood Derby Information and Den Meetings for 1/7/2019

Happy New Year, Pack 359 Family!!! I hope everyone has had a great holiday season, but now it’s time to get back to work! Tomorrow’s Den Room Locations at 6:30PM: 1.  Lions – not meeting 2.  Tigers – Discovery Room 3.  Wolves – Side by Side Room 4.  Bears – Fellowship Hall 5.  Webelos  – Sanctuary 6.  AOL – Pike Hall PINEWOOD DERBY 2019 (You may pick up cars at Den Meetings on Monday, 1/7/19, or at the Build Day. $4 for extra cars. Monday meeting

AOL Parents, just a reminder that we are starting our meetings again. I am also looking for some volunteers to help man the fundraiser table at the pinewood derby build day. Also, Whitehouse Troop359 has invited the AOL scouts to participate in troop level activites on Saturday the 12th. Advancement Requirements

AOl scouts and parents I have assigned the “Duty to God in Action” pin to be worked on over the remaining time period as a family experience. This must be completed before March 2019. Please work on requirements 1, 2 and pick one of the remaining 3 through 6 to complete the pin. Let me know when you have finished this and I will record its completetion for your son. Next, Scooutmaster Rick Green from Troop 359 (903-262-4680) has invited the boys on a Boy Scout campout January 12th and 13th at the Sparkman Campsite in South Tyler. Pack Meeting, Monday, December 17

Howdy, Pack 359 Family!! Monday's meeting is a Pack Meeting at 6:30 pm in the Church Sanctuary.  Uniform is Field (Class A).  NO HATS PLEASE. We will be handing out Popcorn Prizes, and you will also be able to pick up Pinewood Derby cars.  The Pack covers the cost of one car per Scout.  Additional cars can be purchased for $4.  Remember, our Build Day is 1/12/19.  More details to follow. Ho Ho Ho, Lions!! Are you learning your address like the firemen asked last week? We will be learning some first aid lessons, exercising, and making our own healthy trail mix snacks at Monday’s meeting! Can’t wait to see you there! Next week is our December Pack meeting – we will receive our Animal Kingdom and Fun on the Run belt loops AND there will be information about PINEWOOD DERBY!!!
