Meeting Tonight

Hello Wolf Family! What a cold but beautiful camp-out we had last weekend. For those who attended, you have earned your Polar Bear Patch! We slept in temps below freezing without a heater! Burrrrr! We will have those patches to distribute at our meeting on the 21st (next Monday). I have updated Scoutbook to show that most of you have completed the Call of the Wild Adventure and are almost finished with Howling at the Moon (all we have left for Howling at the Moon is to perform our original skit at a den meeting). We are going to start working on Council Fire tonight, and will talk about how to properly handle American Flags and how to fold them! I would love any parents…

Hello Webelos! Tuesday night we are serving up some Cast Iron Chef creations!!! 1. Please bring your exercise sheets for our Fitness Achievement. 2. We will be learning how to do campfire cooking with cast iron/ dutch ovens.  The Den had a hard time selecting cobbler flavors so we will be dividing up into “cooking teams” to select and build two cobblers and learn how to use coals (already hot) to cook our cobblers to perfection. While our delicious cobblers bake, we’ll learn to use coal chimneys to get perfect coals for dutch ovens, box oven baking, and foil meal packs. *** NEEDED – 1 or 2 seasoned mid-size or small dutch ovens, with lids & lid hooks if possible *** I will have several…

Fall Family Camp is here!!! If you are still planning on heading out today, keep an eye on the weather. There are showers in the forecast well into the night. The rain looks like it will let up around 1:00 am, so those setting up in the morning will just have wet ground to contend with. Howdy, Well my first email was deleted when we lost power. Try two. This weekend is family camp. I know some are coming out Friday and others Saturday morning. See attached basic camping list for items to pack. Note the weather and adjust packing accordingly (it will be cold). Don’t forget a mess kit and cup. If you are not coming until Saturday please have your scout ready to start our den activity around 9:30-10:00 at campsite 4. Veterans Day school programs

Hello Scouts, Below is information regarding Veterans Day ceremonies at Brown, Cain and Higgins:   Higgins The program is tomorrow, Thursday the 10th at 5:45pm. Scouts will be greeting people outside the school with the American flag. Scouts need to be at the school in their Class A uniform by 5:20pm. Jamie Smith has the flag for the scouts to take turns holding, while others greet attendees.   Cain Jason Beaton (Tiger den leader and Scoutmaster) will call the scouts out of class tomorrow at 1:30pm for a quick practice. Family Camp

Calling all Bears! This weekend is Fall Family Camp at Camp GW Pirtle and we hope to see you all there.  If you plan to attend even just for the day Saturday, we will be working on Bear Picnic Basket for an elective as well as the Fur, Feathers, and Ferns requirement. If you will be there on Saturday please bring stuff for your family for Dutch Oven pizzas.  You will need (have your scout help shop if possible): Pre-cooked pizza crust (like Biboli) Pizza sauce (plastic squeeze bottle works well) Desired toppings Mozzarella cheese or cheese of your choice. Hello Tiger Families! Family Camp is this weekend at Camp Pirtle (same place as Mom & Me). I need to know who will be attending from our Den. Registration closes tomorrow evening.
