Howdy Scout Family, Since Whitehouse ISD cancelled school today for snow all den meetings have been cancelled. Enjoy the last bit of snow. We will not be meeting tonight.  I would like to get a meeting set up with parents only to go over what their scout is needing and plan a spaghetti dinner for a fundraiser.  We need to schedual a date for crossover. Im working on getting priceing for plaques and arrows.   Have a safe and warm day.

Brrr! I hope everyone was able to enjoy the snow day. Big shot out to the Wolf, Bear and Webelos dens for their help at build day. Lots of cool cars were started yesterday. PLANS CHANGED!!

SNOW! Because of the weather we will NOT meet today. Instead I am requiring all my bears to enjoy time outside running through snow (even if it is just the flakes). NEXT Sunday, January 17 we will meet at 1:00 at Mineola Nature Preserver to complete our last required belt loop. We will meet at the main park and do the hike and look for wildlife. Your scout will need to bring their 6 essentials. This hike will take longer than an hour but there is lots to see (bees, lakes, etc). Please be working on Duty to God and also your family emergency plan. Also we are in pinewood derby build time. I will be at the church tomorrow night to answer questions. Race day…

Sunday! Den Meeting

Howdy Bears! Happy 2021! Just a quick reminder tomorrow is pinewood derby build day. We will have all the equipment you need to build your pinewood derby cars (pwd). Don’t forget to register for a time REGISTER! This Sunday at 3:00 (inside, fellowship hall) will be make-up day. Come and catchup on requirements. If it is whittle chip please bring a pocket knife. PineWood Derby BUILD DAY is TOMORROW – January 9th

Pinewood Derby Build Day THIS SATURDAY Happy New year to all the WONDERFUL WOLVES!!  We will NOT be meeting as a Den this Tuesday to give you and your Scouts time to work on your fantastic PineWood Derby Cars.  Remember – there are awards for both SPEED and super-cool STYLE in all divisions. It looks like 7 Wolf families have already signed up for Build Day, but times look to still be available from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.  I’ll be dropping in between basketball games AND if anyone is available and nearby around 1:00 pm Den 4 is responsible for helping to pack up the equipment and cleaning up the place.  Tracy and Jason are moving all the equipment to the church right now!…

This Saturday is our annual Pinewood Derby Build Day. REGISTER to attend the event below; bring your ideas, scout and pinewood derby box. We will walk you through how to build your car. There will be printed copies of the rules and people to answer questions. We will be following COVID guidelines. We will be monitoring how many people are in a room. Please be patient and respectful of everyones space. Entrance will be the side door (Pike Hall) and exit will be Friendship Hall (large back room). REGISTER for a spot at build day! Happy New Year! I hope this email finds you rested and ready for a new year. NO den meetings this week. We are starting the 2021 year off with our pinewood derby build day. Bring your pinewood derby cars (box with wood and nails in it) Saturday, January 9 and learn how to build your car. We will have all the tool, tips, and tricks to share. This year we are doing it a bit differently. In order to social distance we are asking each family to register for a time to attend build day.
