Parade season has wrapped up for the year. 4 parades in a span of 2 months! Our scouts did a fantastic job representing the organization and our community. Thank you scouts for doing your best! To the parents who walked or rode with us, and even those who did not, thank you for modeling the importance of community involvement. Last but certainly not least, a HUGE thank you to our parade committee and their spouses. They pulled the trailer so our Lions and Tigers could participate, and spent hours (not kidding) planning and decorating the trailer for the Christmas parades. THANK YOU!!!   (Parade committee? The Troup Christmas Parade is today at 6 pm! Line up is at 5, and scouts need to be in their Class A uniform, closed toe shoes and Santa hats/accessories. There is a slight chance of rain so a poncho is recommended just in case. Attached is information on the parade.   Let’s help our Troup scouts and their neighbors kick off the holiday season! If you plan to attend, please let me know so we can get an approximate head count for flags and the banner. Our December Pack Meeting is tonight at 6:30 in the chapel. We’ll have some belt loops and a few other awards to hand out. Wear your Class A uniform.   Thanks to everyone who came out to help with Christmas in the Park and who participated in the Christmas Parade! Our Christmas festivities aren’t quite over yet though, we have two more events coming up:   Troup Christmas Parade:  The Troup Christmas Parade is this Thursday at 6:00 pm. We will meet at the same location as the Sesquicentennial parade, in the parking lot of the administration building across from the Elementary School. Hey Scout Families!   This Saturday is Christmas in the Park and the Whitehouse Christmas Parade. Below are details for each.   Christmas in the Park   We will have a booth set up to sell flag subscriptions and will have an archery game for kids, as well as materials to make homemade cards to deliver to Prestige when we go Caroling on the 17th. This is a great opportunity to help fundraise for the Pack, especially if you’re not able to help deliver or pick up flags. It’s also a great opportunity for your scout to share their love of scouting with all the visitors in the park. Market hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with set-up beginning at 7:00 am. We…

Happy Thanksgiving Break Scouts and Scout Families!! This is the weekend that the Flags placed for Veterans Day are picked up. Flags can be placed against the wall of the east side of the Church. If you find a flag or pole that is damaged, please remove the yellow tape so it can be inspected before Presidents Day. If you have any questions, please contact Eric Sivula at 903-539-1278.  

Fall Family Camp is here!!! If you are still planning on heading out today, keep an eye on the weather. There are showers in the forecast well into the night. The rain looks like it will let up around 1:00 am, so those setting up in the morning will just have wet ground to contend with. Hello Scouts, Below is information regarding Veterans Day ceremonies at Brown, Cain and Higgins:   Higgins The program is tomorrow, Thursday the 10th at 5:45pm. Scouts will be greeting people outside the school with the American flag. Scouts need to be at the school in their Class A uniform by 5:20pm. Jamie Smith has the flag for the scouts to take turns holding, while others greet attendees.   Cain Jason Beaton (Tiger den leader and Scoutmaster) will call the scouts out of class tomorrow at 1:30pm for a quick practice. 🏕️ Don’t forget Fall Family Camp sign up is live on our website! Family Camp will be November 11th through the 13th at Camp Pirtle (Co Rd 1241, Gary City, TX 75643)  and is $20 per family. Registration for Fall Family Camp will close on the 8th.   Fall Family camp is a wonderful way to relax and enjoy getting to know other families in the Pack. Most Dens will have an activity or two planned, but there will also be family time so you may go on your own adventure. Many families may not be able to come out Friday night and will come out early Saturday morning to set up camp. Even if your schedule will not allow camping, feel free to come out for the…

Happy November Scouts and Scout Families!!   This is the weekend flags go out for Veterans Day. Flags will be available for pickup starting around 9 AM Saturday Morning. If you have never participated in flag services, this weekend is a great time to start.  Flags and flagpoles need to inspected, marked for our Pack and repaired or replaced if necessary.  There is plenty of work to go around, so all available families are asked to participate. Several routes near Lake Tyler still need to be covered, please contact Eric Sivula at 903-539-1278 if your family is available to help deliver flags.
