Happy Friday! Important Rose Parade Information Scouts (and walking parents) need to meet at the corner of Glenwood and Front Street at 7:30. We will meet on the South East (Bottom Right) of the intersection across from the UT Health EMS Services building. The best way to drop off is from the South (Green Arrows on the map). Everything else will be blocked off. It is normal to park somewhere else and walk to the meeting location. Check-in – PLEASE check in your scouts with one of our leaders. We will have a sign-in and sign-out sheet to ensure all scouts are accounted for. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR SCOUT TO WALK TO THE MEETING LOCATION UNACCOMPANIED. Hey Scout families, Registration for Mom & Me closes Friday, 10/14!!! Mom and Me (or dad and me or grandparent and me, etc.) is October 22nd-23rd at Camp Pirtle in Gary, TX. This event is a favorite of scouts all over the area. It’s a whole Saturday of pack filled scouting fun hosted by the East Texas Area Council so there will be scouts from all over our area. There will be canoes, a rock climbing wall, BB guns, archery and so much more! Check-in is at 8 AM on Saturday at Camp Pirtle. If you are not able to camp overnight, you may go for just the day. Hey Scout families! Just a reminder that Troup’s Sesquicentennial Parade is tomorrow morning! Scouts need to be in their Class A uniform – for new scouts, this includes the blue (or tan for Webelos/Arrows) button down shirt, neckerchief, slide, and belt. We do not require official BSA pants or shorts. Any nice pants or shorts with belt loops is fine (jeans, tan, blue, black, or green are what our scouts usually wear – please no holes or rips). For our Lions, the uniform is the BSA Lion t-shirt. Hats are optional, and scouts can wear the Pack 359 hat if they have one. Howdy Scouts!   There have been some questions about the Mom and Me campout (October 22nd-23rd at Camp Pirtle) that I wanted to clear up. This event is a district cub scout event that cost $40 per person, however, our pack is able to cover a portion of the cost thanks to our flag subscription fundraiser. So if you want to attend the Mom and Me campout you will only have to pay $25 per person and will need to sign up on our pack website. Howdy Scouting Families!   I have a couple things to communicate this evening. First, Flags need to be picked up between Thursday and Sunday before 1pm and returned to the church. Next don’t forget about the Ice Cream Social, Thursday at 6:30pm at the Whitehouse Park. Please have scouts wear their uniforms. Parent Registration is Monday night at the church, 6:30pm. This is for all scouts not just the new ones. And last but not least…Den Meetings start up again September 26th!!

Reminder that flags need to be put out for September 11th. Flags need to go out this weekend. The flags will be out for pick-up at the church this evening after 4pm thru Saturday until 4pm for your routes. If you have any questions or issues notify your den leader who will contact the flag coordinator. Also, I had to make the difficult decision to cancel tomorrows “Back to School” event. Rain and scattered thunderstorms have been showing between 0 and 50% for Saturday. In the spirit of full transparency if I waited until Saturday to cancel the inflatable the Pack would have still had to pay the delivery fee and then the inflatable company would keep our deposit and give us a credit with…

Reminder that flags need to be put out for September 11th. Flags need to go out between August 26th and August 28th. The flags will be out for Pickup Friday evening and Saturday to grab flags for your routes. We will also be having our WELCOME BACK TO SCOUTS event Saturday afternoon at the church from 11am – 2pm. We plan to have a water slide at the church for the scouts to play on. This is a great event to invite a friend that is interested in becoming a Cub Scout too! The goal would be to go get your flag routes done Saturday morning and then come back to the church and let the scouts play for awhile. If it is raining on…
