Howdy Pack 359 Family! Arrow of Light Den 6 would like to invite you and your family to celebrate with them as they Crossover into Scouts BSA. Howdy Pack 359, Flag placement at the Cemetery has been delayed until 9:00. We have a great opportunity to serve our community this weekend. This will be a family activity. Our pack with other units will be planting flags for our fallen Veterans. Locations: Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery 7825 S Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX 75703 Snacks will be provided by the cemetery. All Scouts/leaders/family that come along are required to have face coverings (Neckerchiefs, bandanas, masks, etc). Scouts need to be in their Class A uniform.

On May 23 at 7:30 AM till done (usually about an hour) our pack with other units will be planting flags for our fallen Veterans. Howdy Pack 359, I hope everyone is healthy and safe. This Wednesday at 5:30 we need to put flags out for Memorial Day. Wow, that came fast without school to help keep track of days! Social distancing practices need to be observed so we are changing things up a bit. Routes need to be solo scouts/families if at all possible so we need lots of people helping out. Howdy Pack 359, I hope this email finds you well and healthy. By now I’m sure you know that events for the foreseeable future have been put on hold, this means Blue and Gold as well as AOL Crossover, camping, and all other events we had planned. We will resume regular scouting activities when it is safe for all families involved but for now just focus on staying healthy. If your scout wishes to work on electives or advancements please continue but do not feel obligated to. We are working on a special project so please keep an eye out on the website and Facebook page. Howdy Pack 359, Due to the recent events and outbreak of COVID-19 the East Texas Area Council has decided to suspend all district and council events for the next 2 weeks. This impacts district Pinewood Derby originally set to take place March 21st. The hope is that these events will be rescheduled for a later date but that yet to be determined. In an abundance of caution and to protect our scouts and families Pack 359 will be cancelling all meetings for the next 2 weeks. Flag pick up has been delayed until tomorrow afternoon due to the weather. We do not have space for all of the flags to dry out. Please sign up if you can help out tomorrow at 6:00. I realize this is early but we need to get it done before dark. We really need lots of help to get it done before dark. Howdy Pack 359, I had so much fun today watching all of the cars race! Tomorrow we will need to pick up all of the flags from President’s Day. We will meet at the church at 2:00 PM in Class A uniform to pick up flags. Many hands make light work so please sign up here to help out. Howdy Race Fans, Checkin tonight was successful. I can’t wait to watch all the races tomorrow. We start at 9:00 am. Please arrive in your Class A uniform ready to cheer on your fellow racers. Many of our scouts have their first soccer games tomorrow. Soccer uniforms are still uniforms. Come over before or after you game to cheer (we completely understand wearing your soccer uniform).
