Cowboys Overnight Information

Hello to all Cowboys Overnight Participants!!!  Bring your Health Forms for all participants! Parking Park in LOT 1 or LOT 2 located off of Randol Mill Rd. Parking is FREE. Ticket Pick Up Anne and I will have the tickets near Entry A for you.  You will not be able to pick them up from the Box Office since we reserved as a large group.  We will check you off the list once you get your tickets. Enter You will enter in through Entry A. Doors will open at 7:00pm. What to bring? You can bring a tent, cot, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, air mattress (manual or battery pump), pillows and blankets. Footballs, Soccer balls, frisbees are allowed. All bags will be checked by security…

Pack Meeting, Monday, October 30

Hello, Pack 359 Family! Tomorrow will be a Pack Meeting at 6:30 pm in the church sanctuary.  Uniform is full Field (Class A) uniform.  No hats in the church please.  After the meeting, the Bear Den will be holding their Great Bear Carnival in the Fellowship Hall.  You will also be able to pick up ordered shirts and make payments for shirts/recharter/Cowboys. I will send out a separate, detailed email regarding the participants for the Cowboys overnighter, Nov 3.  This will include times and what to bring. Please let your den leaders know if your family plans to attend Fall Family Camp, Nov 10-12.  We need a headcount as the Pack will cover breakfast and dinner on Saturday, as well as S'mores! Hello, Fantastic Pack 359 Family!!! Thanks to all the participants of this past weekend's Rose Parade.  It was lots of fun, and Pack led the whole Parade!!! Friendly reminders: 1.  Shirts – if you ordered Pack t-shirts, you can pick them up at tomorrow's meeting.  Please come by Pike Hall to get your shirts. 2.  Pack Meeting – Monday, October 30 is our next Pack meeting.  Please enter any requirements done at home on Scoutbook.com.  Also, get with your Den Leaders about completed requirements. 3.  Veterans' Day Programs – be on the lookout for Whitehouse Elementary School Veterans' Day Program, Nov. 8 – 10.  We ask that your Scout wear his uniform on the day his school has the program so he can participate in the flag ceremony….

In response to BSA’s decision to allow girls into program

Hello, Pack 359 Family, I just wanted to take time to address last week’s decision by the BSA to allow girls into the program.  This would take effect Fall 2018 for Cub Scouts. Here is how it would work for our Pack (an already established Pack): 1.  As a Pack, we can choose to recruit girls or stay an all-boy Pack. 2.  This decision has to be made in agreement with our charter organization, the Whitehouse United Methodist Men. 3.  If the decision is made to recruit girls, the dens would be single-gender. Howdy Pack 359 Family!! This weekend we have Sales at Lowe’s. Saturday’s Sales will start as soon as the Rose Parade is finished. There are more open slots on Sunday. Please remember, an Adult MUST STAY WITH THE SCOUT! Dear Pack 359 Family, The Tyler Rose Parade is coming up this Saturday.  Here are the details on the parade. We will be #3 in the lineup behind the City of Tyler Fire Truck. The parade route is about 1.25 miles.   Gathering:  We will gather at the intersection of Glenwood and Houston Streets at 8:00am. A few minutes after 8:00am, we will move down to our staging area at Glenwood and Front Street.  Please be early!  Parade security may keep latecomers from entering the route.  Parade starts at 9:00am.   Parking:  The best locations to park are Mike Carter Baseball Field or Peete Elementary School.  Keep in mind that many of the roads in the area will be barricaded off.  Peete is the closet to the starting line.  Mike…
