Last minute Rose Parade info!!
Important 2021 Rose Parade – Scouts (and walking parents) need to meet at the corner of Glenwood and Front Street by 7:45 AM. We will meet on the South East (Bottom Right) of the intersection across from the UT Health EMS Services building. The best way to drop off is from the South. There is a map on Facebook and in Pack News. Everything else will be blocked off. It is normal to park somewhere else and walk to the meeting location.
Check-in – PLEASE check-in your scouts with one of our leaders.
Dress – Scouts should be in as much “Class A” Uniform regalia as they own. Hat, Neckerchief, Slide, etc.
Weather – When we arrive, the temperature will be in the Mid-50’s. The forecast right now shows we’ll be in the Mid-60’s by the time we finish. Please dress accordingly! I highly recommend layers so that you can peel off a jacket as we begin marching and warming up.
Bags – Feel free to bring a SMALL backpack or day pack to carry a few items. Scouts may want to bring some water and snacks.
Dead Time – Please encourage your scout to use his time wisely. Scouts may use this time to sign off on or refresh on Bobcat .
Parade Route – See the Map online. The Parade will start at 9:00 AM. We will walk down Front st through the Fair Grounds, and will end at Rose Stadium. In the past, the parade has entered the stadium from the Visitors’ side (North Side), walked around the Track, and ended past the Home entrance (South Side).
Pick-Up – Families need to pick up scouts PROMPTLY after we exit the stadium.
**Heads Up** – The parade route might flip at Rose Stadium. The Parade Officials will let us know in the morning. The Parade would enter the home side first, then exit on the visitor side. IF this does happen, pickup will be at Mike Carter Field. We will let parents know during check-in.
