Scout Troop Meetings for all Arrows this week – Important Fundraising info in this message and Scout Sunday is February 4th!

Hello Arrow Scouts & Families!! Hopefully your Pinewood Derby car is coming along nicely –  weigh in & car drop off is Friday, February 9th starting at 6pm. This week – ALL ARROWS need to be attending the Troop meetings for the troop you wish to bridge over to – Troop 359 Boys and Girls meet at 6:45 at WUMC – the boys are working on Orienteering (using a compass – these skills will be needed for an upcoming campout!!!)  Troop 359 campouts –  February 16 – 18 in Rusk. March 22 – 24 Shooting Sports at Drott’s Farm. RECHARTER – If you are a returning Scout, pay your Re-charter to the PACK – your re-charter will automatically be passed on to the Troop. NEW…

Build Day and Recharter

Good Afternoon Pack! Recharter – All of our returning scouts need to recharter. We have options for payment plans as well. This does not apply to you if you are a new scout for the 2023-2024 school year. https://etacpack359.org/recharter/. This is a critical step in keeping your scout’s achievements and rank advancements current. Without rechartering, National will remove your scout’s records from our account. Pinewood Derby Build Day – This Saturday, Jan 27th (8a-12p). We’ll have the tools necessary to leave with nearly a finished car. Please volunteer to help with Build Day! Meet with Troop 359 at 6:45pm tonight to start Orienteering!!! Pinewood Derby BUILD DAY is this Saturday!!

I was excited to see pictures of some of our Arrows on a recent Troop 5-mile hike – way to get a jump on your next Scout Rank!   Parents – This is a critical time for Arrow Scouts to acclimate themselves with their Troops so they are comfortable camping AND are able to participate in all the upcoming activities! I will be at tonight’s Troop 359 meeting to pick up any God in Action paperwork and discuss Electives with those who need to complete one. Hope to see EVERYONE there!!! Meeting Tonight

Hello Bear Families! We are going to meet in the sanctuary today to start learning the flag ceremony. We will also work a little more with our pocket knives. There are a couple more activities we need to do to earn our BEAR CLAWS belt loop. We are also going to make a gift for Tire Worx as a “thank-you” for sponsoring our tool boxes. I painted a tool box blue and have a yellow paint pen we can use to sign our names on the tool box. Let’s also fill it with snacks and treats for the crew at Tire Worx. What to Bring: a Scout in Uniform , a pocket knife that the Scout knows how to open and close, SNACKS and TREATS…

Good afternoon will we family, We will be meeting tonight at 6:30. Tonight’s meeting will be about all about coins. We will end the meeting with the much anticipated good behavior ice cream rewards.

Pinewood Derby Signups – Volunteers URGENTLY NEEDED for Build Day

I know some families were unable to make it to our Pack meeting on the 8th, and with no den meetings this week Pinewood Derby has not been on everyone’s mind. Our Build Day is fast approaching, and we are in desperate need of volunteers. Build day is a time when families can come use tools loaned to the Pack by one of the WMC church members. You have the chance to redrill axles (if you want), get your car cut with a band saw, use a drill press to cut out a spot for weights, sand your car and wheels, and polish your axles.
