First Aid/CPR Certification Course & Blackhawk Creek Trail Ribbon Cutting this Saturday

Hey Scout Families!   UT Health is offering all of our parents and adult volunteers a First Aid and CPR Certification Course at a discounted rate. Normally a $75 course, UT Health has dropped the price to $17. Thanks to a very generous donation by a couple of our adult volunteers, the first 20 people to register will get to take the course at no cost! The course will take place this Saturday, September 30th at Whitehouse Methodist Church from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. Den Meetings start Tonight!

Good Afternoon, Pack! Tonight will be our first official Den Meetings for the year! Our Den Leaders are excited to welcome our scouts back and begin working towards the next rank and new adventures. All den meetings begin at 6:30 PM. Den meeting next week plus registration information

Hello ARROW Scouts! We picked up two new scouts during school registrations – please help me welcome Annabelle Upshaw and Everett Garcia.  Both attend Brown Elementary here in Whitehouse! Our “kickoff” meeting will be next Tuesday, September 26, at 6:30 pm in the back fellowship hall at WUMC. Parents – you might browse the Aquanaut and Fix-It electives to see if your scout finished enough requirements to earn those electives. You can do a Google search for Webelos/Arrow of Light electives to see the requirements. We will start the year with some “Outdoorsman” acheivment work – fire building, outdoor cooking, Emergency plans and a review of our Outdoor Code. Mom & Me Registration is LIVE!

It’s that time of year again, our first camping event, the 2023 Junell Smith Nichols Mom & Me camp, is coming up on October 7-8! The 2023 Junell Smith Nichols Mom & Me is an all-inclusive, Mom focused activity. Our goal is to give moms the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities and have some fun with their cub scouts. Activities include: BB Guns Archery Monkey Bridge Smokey the Bear Bouldering Climbing Motor Boating Canoeing Fishing Arts & Crafts Overnight Camping and the Chance to Make Memories! While this is geared toward moms, all parents or guardians are welcome. Parent Meeting Tonight

Hello Bear Family! Are you ready for the cub scout year to start??The parent meeting is tonight at 6:30pm and kids are welcome to come. I hear there may be a S’mores activity involved… If your kiddos come, please have them wear their class As. Our first Bear meeting is next Tuesday, September 26th. This is it!! Our final year as Arrows (Arrow of Light Cub Scouts) starts next week!!

Hello Arrows!  We are nearing the end of our Scouting Journey – we have just a few Advancements, an Elective or two, and some fun nights camping with Scout groups for your Arrow of Light scout to consider bridging over into.  There is a Parent meeting Monday, Sept 18 at WUMC at 6:30pm – for new parents or parents with Questions.  Den Meetings start the week of September 25th – we will be meeting on Tuesdays at 6:30pm pending everyone’s schedule allowing this – I am open to an occasional Sunday afternoon meeting as well if everyone’s schedule is especially hectic.  Troop meetings will depend on the Troop – Troop 359 meets on Tuesdays. Flag pickup routes still available

Good evening! Hope everyone enjoyed this cooler week!! There are still 6 routes still needing help to be picked up. Please sign up on the Sign up genius link below. The church storage will be open at 8am so flags can be put inside the room on the brick wall. If you happen to notice a flag that needs repaired or bend pole then please leave those flags outside leaned up against the wall so they can be fixed. While picking up flags if you notice any locations that need to be redrilled, painted, etc. then please reached out to Derrick at 903-570-6183 thru text with the customer name, address if possible and what needs to be fixed at that house so we can get…

Flag pickup this weekend!!!

A reminder that flags need to be picked up this weekend. Several families had to do 3 routes to make sure everything was covered. This is our primary fundraiser that helps pay for all the fun activities we do.
