Howdy, Tonight our den is doing the opening and closing flag. I might be late but Julia’s dad and Makenzie’s dad will be at the church ready to do a practice run at 6:15. Please bring one of the musical instruments you made to show off during our den announcements. Next Sunday we will be working on Marble Madness. Please get your scout a bag of marbles! Thanks, Kathy
Hi Wild Wolves! This PACK MEETING is on the Calendar, but it just flat snuck up on me! I’m so sorry for the late notice! Expect belt loop for Duty to God/God and Me and lots of Pinewood Derby shenanigans! Have you checked your Rain Gauges? More rain to come! We will not have a Den Meeting this week since we have Pack Meeting! Oh yea – GO CHIEFS!!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!! We will be meeting on Mondays at 6:30 for now on. I need all scouts to show up to get the required advancements completed in order for them to get their Arrow Of Light. Please contact me to see what all your scout is needing. We will be holding a spaghetti dinner fund raiser on Feb 13 after the pinewood derby. It will be take out only. Tickets are $20 for a meal for 4. I will need all hands on deck for this. This is to help pay for the plaques and arrows for cross over. If your scout decides to cross over to Scouting BSA the money left will go to the troop that the scout goes to for summer camp. …
Howdy, We missed those who couldn’t hike with us. Remember to visit a zoo or nature center to finish the requirement. The cubs voted and this Sunday at 3:00 we will work on the elective A World of Sound. I need some help with supplies. We have to make the following instruments: Complete all of the following. Make an mbira. Make a sistrum. Make a rain stick. The mbria – Who can help get supplies? The book has some guidelines but we can adjust. I googled Cub Scout mbria and lots of ideas. Can one parent handle pulling this together? Looks like wood and hair pins… I have most other items for a sistrum and rain stick but need: thin metal wire for the sistrum…

Howdy! This Sunday we are working on Fur, Feathers, and Ferns. The Mineola Nature Preserve is closed to the public this weekend. Boo. It is a great park and I highly encourage you to go out on another weekend. We will meet at 1:00 at Blackhawk Break Hike and Bike Trail in Whitehouse. The entrance is in a Whitehouse neighborhood, Patrick Rd, Whitehouse, TX 75791. We can do most of our adventure there. Please have your scout bring their 6 essentials. Also if you have a magnifying glass please bring. We will be observing nature and taking our hike. Don’t forget to be working on Duty to God. SNOW! Because of the weather we will NOT meet today. Instead I am requiring all my bears to enjoy time outside running through snow (even if it is just the flakes). NEXT Sunday, January 17 we will meet at 1:00 at Mineola Nature Preserver to complete our last required belt loop. We will meet at the main park and do the hike and look for wildlife. Your scout will need to bring their 6 essentials. This hike will take longer than an hour but there is lots to see (bees, lakes, etc).
