  • Pack Meeting, Monday, 11/27/17

    Hello, Pack 359 Family!! I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. But, back to school time now. Tomorrow’s meeting is a PACK meeting to be held in the church sanctuary at 6:30 pm. Uniform is Field (Class A). Please, NO hats in the sanctuary. Reminder: Popcorn – if you weren’t able to pick up popcorn last week, we will have it available at the meeting. Also, please be sure to select a prize. Whitehouse Christmas Parade/Holiday in the Park – this coming Saturday, Dec 2. The parade starts at 9AM. Uniform is Field (Class A). Tigers are responsible for decorating the trailer that they MUST ride in. After the parade, we will have a booth in the park with an archery game and…

  • Pack Meeting Tomorrow

    Hello, Bear Family, We will be leading the flag ceremonies for tomorrow’s Pack meeting. If several of you could arrive early 6:10ish, we can go over the ceremony. Please sign up for Holiday in the Park booth spots if you can. Please bring new crew socks to tomorrow’s meeting so we can give them to the church to donate to the elderly. Thanks!

Monday, November 20 – no official meetings, but we will be at the Church beginning at 6:30 pm for take-order popcorn pickup. We’ll be there for at least an hour so don’t think you need to arrive at 6:30 sharp!   • Advancement makeup planning

    Hey everyone, This Monday I will talk with parents and scouts about where each boys is as far as completion of their advancements so far this year. I will also discuss makeup days for scouts who need extra time. We are ahead of schedule so no worries. Monday November 27th is a Pack Meeting, but after that we have two den meetings and we will finish the last of “First Responder” and talk about “Duty to God” requirements. Thanks for all that you do.   • NO MEETINGS TOMORROW!!

    Hello, Pack 359 Family!! Well, Family Camp was a success.  Thanks for everyone that came out for the fun!  A BIG thank you to all the volunteers/helpers that assisted with the cooking and clean-up.  Thanks especially to our Quartermaster, Ryan Bockover, for leading the way with the meals and prep.  Be sure to pat him on the back the next time you see him. Since I'm tired, and you're tired……we will not have meetings tomorrow, Monday, November 13.  Have a good night off.     I can’t wait for family camp. We will be finishing up one requirement, starting and finishing another and starting a 3rd!! Please bring your lion workbook and some markers or crayons.

  • Fall Family Camp is Tomorrow!!

    Hello, Pack 359 Family! Fall Family Camp is tomorrow.  Please see previous email regarding directions, itinerary, health forms and consent forms.   Please watch the weather.  It's supposed to be cooler this weekend.  Blankets would probably not be a bad idea.  All vehicles to be moved to the parking lot after unloading. Remember, if you must smoke, you will need to go to the parking lot. Please keep an eye on your Scouts/kids this weekend.  We are expecting a good turnout.   Also, a Cub Scout Pack from Hallsville will be there Saturday to Sunday.  We will need to make room for them and be on our best Scouting behavior.   • Veterans’ Day Programs

    Good morning, Pack 359 Family, Cain, Higgins, and Brown Elementaries will be performing Veterans' Day Programs this week.  We have been asked to lead the flag ceremonies for the programs.  If your Scout wants to participate, have him wear his Field (Class A) uniform to the school on the appropriate day.  I don't recommend wearing the slide and neckerchief all day as it will be lost.  You can put it in a ziploc baggie in your Scout's backpack.   Program Dates/Times: Cain – Wednesday, November 8 at 8:30 am Higgins – Thursday, November 9 at 1:30 pm Brown – Friday, November 10 at 8:30 am Sorry, Stanton-Smith.  Your Scout must wear his Uniform to participate at the program.   • Den Meetings and FALL FAMILY CAMP!!

    Hello, Pack 359 Family!!  I hope all Cowboys Overnighter particpants had a great time!! Fall Family Camp is upon us, one of my favorite events of the year!!!   LET YOUR DEN LEADER KNOW HOW MANY OF YOUR FAMILY PLANS TO ATTEND! * Campout date is Friday, November 10th through Sunday, November 12th at Pirkey Environmental Park near Hallsville, TX (directions attached). If you can't make it Friday, come Saturday!!!  If you can't camp at all, come out Saturday for the day and campfire.  * The Pack will provide meals for Saturday morning and evening.  Parents/Dens will be responsible for Friday night, Saturday lunch, and Sunday breakfast. For Friday, most families will stop and eat on the way to camp. For Saturday lunch and Sunday breakfast, it can be as simple as a sandwich or a meal prepared and shared with your Den (please check with your…
