SUPER JOB leading the Whitehouse Christmas Parade and carrying all the flags – as usual, you guys rocked it all the way!! I have phots posted on my Facebook page. All of you were able to attend knot-tying with Troop 359 (boys) and Troop 359G (girls) and you…

Good Evening, Arrow Families! Scoutmaster Jason here – Thank you all for attending tonight’s Troop Meetings. I wanted to offer a quick explanation of what you all witnessed tonight. As you can tell, the excitement and energy (aka Chaos) is real at the troop level. And that’s a good thing (usually). Scouts BSA Troops are led by the youth scouts. As you saw, the older scouts were not only teaching the knots, but they were also doing their best to coordinate a group of over 30 scouts. It will not be a perfectly well-oiled machine most of the time, and that’s perfectly normal. This is the experience young men and women need to be successful later in life. Planning a meeting/event, visualizing how it will…
Attention Arrows! Knot-tying with patrols of Troop 359 Tuesday night, 6:45pm – WUMC. Meet with the Scouts in their usual meeting area. Class A is recommended if possible. Both the girls and boys Troops will be involved – lots of chances to meet and work with Scouts already in the Troop!! This event was planned by the PLC – Scout Patrol Leadership in action!! TRY not to miss, knot-tying skills are a requirement!!
HI Team!! SO very sorry for the late notice – NO ARROW MEETING TONIGHT! I’ve been wiped out at work and am going to be here until well after 10…
Good Afternoon Arrows! Quick Reminder – Our first Pack Meeting of the year is tonight at 6:30 PM. We will be in the Sanctuary, so please, no hats! In addition to that, our Den gets to perform the Flag Ceremonies tonight! After the Pack Meeting, the Bear Den is hosting the Bear Carnival for all our scouts to enjoy. See you tonight!
Hello Arrow Families!! Early Voting equipment is moving in to our usual meeting area at the church, so we will be meeting at the Delk home tonight: 400 Gatewood Drive, Whitehouse, TX 75791, at 6:15 Tuesday. This is over close to the High School – you will turn off 346 onto Hillcreek Drive, take a right on Langford, then left on Gatewood. We are on the right. Park along the street. Since Halloween is upon us, we will be carving pumpkins to show knife safety and to refresh all Scouts on the Whittling Chip Requirement! (Once in the Troop it is called a Totin’ Chip) Scouts will need a pocketknife and a pumpkin. I will have some pumpkins available to carve; if you have…
Hello Arrow families – hope you are enjoying the fall break! Tonight we will begin learning about PATROL LEADERSHIP – the way Scouting enables young leaders by allowing them to take the lead within groups of Scouts known as Patrols. Your Scout will surprise you with what they can do on their own – just like this summer at Webelos camp, when every single scout who attended was able to get themselves dressed in full Class A uniform for flag service each morning (even though some can’t get this all together for Pack Meetings at home, LOL.) We received several compliments on how our Arrows/Webelos were self-sufficient – they are growing up! I know, it seems like just yesterday that they were Tigers or Wolves…
Remember – ECLIPSE INFORMATION Den Meeting – 6:45 pm – Tomorrow – meeting will be in the WUMC Sanctuary.. Parents and siblings are welcome to attend – we will have an 80% eclipse of the sun this SATURDAY between 11:30 (start) and 1:20 (end) with the famous “ring of fire” phenomena occurring around noon. You can’t watch ANY part of this eclipse without protective eyewear – everyone who attends tomorrow’s meeting will receive a certified pair of eclipse viewing glasses. SEE you all tomorrow!!!
