First Aid Meeting this Tuesday, 6:30 pm at WUMC January 22, 2023 Scouts should come prepared to work on First Aid – Review your First Aid Handout and be prepared to help some “injured” people – I NEED volunteers to be injured as well parents & siblings!!! Next Steps this weekend

Howdy, I love that all my AOLs made it to a troop meetings. Sounds like 3 troops are very active and all the AOLs got involved. We will have a short discussion next Monday on what our scouts learned (this is part of the Scouting pin and is required) but then move into the art pin. Only one AOL has completed Duty to God. Please keep working on this. It is a month long pin. Camping with Troop 356: Ben, Jack, Aurora, Madison, Santi are signed up. If your child’s name isn’t listed and they plan on attending please text me today (Wednesday). Packing: camp chair, mess kit, camp cup, day pack with 6 essentials and tp, snacks, tent, items to sleep and night items….

Howdy, I was having technical difficulty this weekend when trying to send out an update. The month of January is very important for our group. We are going to be wrapping up our time together!!! Parents stop blinking or they will all be eagles tomorrow. I have updated scout book. Den 4 will NOT meet this week – I have major grant deadlines at work this Wednesday – will be working around the clock to get those done – and of course start school both at TJC and UT Tyler.  So far nobody has mentioned major conflicts (YET) with Tuesdays or Sunday afternoons – remember to let me know about practices, game nights, school events, etc. as we move through the spring. Wow, what an awesome job the Webelos did on their hike and what a BEAUTIFUL day it was to be outside!!  Lots of info to start 2023: Just a “Heads UP” to Parents – there will be Pinewood Derby Kick Off Meeting tomorrow night, 1/9/23, 6:30 at WUMC. Time to hike! Meet 2pm Hilton Garden Inn on Grande.

Happy New Year, Den 4! While it looks a bit cloudy today, by 2pm tomorrow (Sunday, Jan 8) the sun will be shining and the Webelos are going to be hiking 3 miles on the Rose Rudman Trail in Tyler.   Drop off scouts TO ME at the Hilton Garden Inn off of Grande. Parents should drive to Southside Park off of Shiloh road for pick up, or park and walk south and meet up with the crew to walk with us. We will be walking to the park, hang out for a bit at the playground (drinks / restroom) proceed north on the trail over to Copeland and circle back to Southside for play/parent pick up. Knots! and Christmas

Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s time to learn who made the knotty list, as in who has mastered their knots!!! We will be finishing up the knots and lashings tonight. Caroling today at 2pm!

TODAY we will be caroling and delivering homemade Christmas cards to the folks at Prestige Estates Assisted Living and Memory Care. We will meet there at 2:00 pm. The address is 6928 Paluxy Dr, Tyler, TX 75703. As with the parades, please have your scout wear their Class A along with any Christmas accessories they’d like. It will be cold, so if you’d like to wear a Christmas sweater over your uniform you can. Please bring a couple homemade Christmas cards to deliver to the residents
